PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT!!!!!!!!
The company is fantastic, and this trailer is spectacular. Cute as a button. I'm a 5'2" kayaking gal, and got tired of trying to unloading and hoisting my 12' kayak onto the roof of my truck, so when I saw the price of this trailer, I snapped it up. Dad put it together in 4 hours and he said it wasn't difficult at all. The wire, lights, tires, everything you need is included. The trailer is just gorgeous, plus it rides smooth, no problems whatsoever.Highly recommend it, plus, I haven't tried this yet, but I think I might be able to attach my roof top storage to it as well. amazingly solid
Two days, a few wrenches, and not a little swearing got this trailer together. The only difficulty was that the boat I have has a pronounced keel so that the 2 by 6's provided for support are a bit too low. I've replaced them with 2 by 10's, and it works fine. Top to learn more

Generally pleased, made few improvements
Seems like a pretty good trailer for the job. I am going to be using it to haul my laser sailboat, and while I have yet to haul it anywhere it does seem like it will fit the boat pretty well. I am pretty particular about things, so here are a few observations and extra things I've done while assembling this trailer...The packaging padding could have been a little better for shipping. For example, the fenders and other parts were thrown together with no packaging in between, which lead to scratches and paint coming off to bare metal. I touched up these with some Fire Engine Red and Gloss Black Paint which proved a pretty close match. The manufacturers did not deburr any of the pre-drilled holes before painting, which can be hard on the wiring. While pulling the wire gently through one of the holes, the sharp edges stripped a bit of the insulation off one of the wires. I have installed rubber grommets around any of holes that wires go through to prevent chafing. I... Top to learn more

very useful
when the kayak cart arrived, the plastic wheels smelled like really stinky chemical rubber. Luckily I store it in my garage, so it isn't such a problem. It took a while for me to figure out a way to securely attach the wheels to my kayak using bungee cords. Once attached, it works well. It is too bulky to keep in the kayak with me, so i have to return it to my car before I go out on the water.

Great jack! Easy to install and use!
After I installed this jack (which was VERY easy to do), my life was made easier when hooking my trailer to my truck. Couple of turns on the handle and I could take it off/on the ball. The big wheel made it easy to move to put the trailer into its position. I even bought a yellow pad (along with wheel chocks)to put the wheel in so the trailer wouldn't move from that position. Definitely recommended! Top to learn more

Reese?
Is it a Reese jack? Reese is a known name in trailer products, but there was no Reese insignia or labels, just a plain jack. It is rated at 1000 lbs, but it's too early to tell how long it will last (tongue weight is 800 lbs.) After attaching it to the trailer I noticed it was very loose at the swivel, more wobble than most and there wasn't a grease fitting at the cylinder(it wasn't a sealed system.) I will be very happy if it lasts the season. You get what you pay for. At least, it was shiny. Top to learn more

Great product with great service
Product arrived quickly and was straightforward to assemble. My kit was missing the bolts for the fenders. I emailed the malone sales department and received the missing bolts 2 days later. Registration at the DMV was easier than I thought it would be - I just provided the included documents and it registered like a new vehicle. Overall a great product - highly recommended. Great Looking Trailer And Good Support
This is a great looking trailer. The components look to be well made. And I was promptly emailed from Malone's tech support to let them know if I had problems. The Malone trailer was about half the cost of Yakama's at the time I bought. That's the good news. Here are a few things to be aware of if you buy this model. Be prepared to spend more time assembling it and a few trips to the hardware store. The trailer is completely bolted together with lock nuts, so it shouldn't loosen. There were a few instances when a 3/8" bolt was shipped where a 1/2" was called for.The instructions that came with my XT model are for the standard trailer with a fixed tongue. A separate set of instructions came with the package to retrofit a fully assembled trailer with the sliding tongue as an option. It took considerable time to figure out how to merge the two instructions together. I was told from Malone new instructions are being developed. The only low-quality component of the... Worth Every Penny
For the price this is an exelent trailer. The only thing that was wrong, was when it was delivered the boxes looked like they where ran over a few hundred time. But everything was there and it's not the company its was UPS. It took me and a friend about 2 to 3 hours to put it together. I didn't assemble it to fold up cause I have the room to store it. It cost me $8.00 for the ply wood for the floor and another $16.00 for eight two by fours and a pound of screws for the railings. I haul a 850lb. fourwheeler on it and it hauls it just fine. The trialer does not bounce in the raod at highway speeds nor does it sway at all. I am confinate to say this is an exelent trailer as long as you fallow the weight restrictions. The trailer also comes with all the paper work to get the title and get it registered. In PA for the title and registration will cost you $110.00 and after that it is only $16.00 every four years for registration. Top to learn more
Excellent Trailer!
I recently purchased this trailer and was very impressed by the build, the size, and the storage capabilities of this little trailer.First off, I would like to mention to those reviewers at other locations that this trailer is not intended to be used as a commercial trailer for extensive highway and heavy load usage. For those who have this idea of granduer, you need to spend $2,000+ to get a heavy duty 2 ton trailer and don't forget the dually that you need to pull it.Concerning this trailer and its intended purposes... I needed a trailer to tow our kayaks, furniture, lumber and soil from the hardware store, and occasionally a mower or other small vehicles (motorcyles, 4-wheeler, etc.). I also needed something that I could put in a tight location. So, given its intended purpose, I will begin my review:1) It is a beast to put together- It took me 4.5 hours, but I was working quickly with all the right tools. Note: for easiest assembly, I... Top to learn more

Easy to install and works well
It took me all of 30 minutes to install on our "new" boat trailer. The boat and trailer are about 30 years old. The uprights are not extremely strong, but they hold the boat in place while loading in a wind, which is their purpose. Well designed, easy to install, and good value Top to learn more
awesome
Spent last year wrestling the boat on the trailer...not this year, boat goes on easily with these guides! Install is not hard at all and a fair price. I recommend these guides to anyone Top to learn more

One thing you may want to do before buying the 3 1/2 rise receiver is see if that is the amount of inches in rise you need for your trailer to keep the trailer tongue level when you have actually physically hooked the trailer to the Escape. You may need only a 1" rise, or a 5" rise to compensate for tongue weight on the Escape as the trailer will pull it down a little bit I am sure. Trial and error for fit, or ask a trailer hitch installer, they have alot of that information available for different heights needed.
